Hello everyone

I know there will be some RTC graduates on this list, so I am making use of
the opportunity to get into contact with you this way.

I have been approached to investigate the possibility or desirability of
setting up an Alumni Association for the RTC. The faculty of the RTC fully
supports this initiative and I would like to get into contact with as many
Alumni as possible to "test the waters" in this regard.

In the past most of the College's alumni would keep in touch on a
denominational basis and through supporting churches. More than half of
students, however, now come in from outside the supporting churches. It
would be of benefit to all to retain the linkages and relationships formed
while at the College.

An alumni association could have several benefits, both for the College and
for those involved in the association. The College's vision is ". to raise,
equip and support a generation of leaders for the advance of the gospel."
The third leg of this vision would be the main focus of such an association
- by providing or alerting ex-students to a range of opportunities and other
events put on by the college and also by providing continued access to
faculty. Other benefits could range from access to the library's Atla
facilities, being in contact with fellow-alumni working in various
countries, advertising of available positions and more. The major supplier
of Bible software is already willing to come on board with some exciting
'bonuses' to alumni!

Of course there is also the additional benefit that a vibrant alumni
association not only allows the retention and building of relationships
between alumni but also allows for the College to be better 'marketed'.

I would appreciate your comments and suggestions in this regard - please
contact me off-list on the email address alumni-rtc at fmxau.com

(I have a long list of alumni whom I'll be trying to contact, so if anyone
knows of alumni who may not be on this list, please send me details)

Blessings

Colin
