Hi All,
This guy also called me here in Canberra, claiming that he was coming here,
and mentioning Jack de Vries. I was immediately suspicious; he called back a
couple of times, but then gave up.
I had a similar one a few years ago, with some guy in the Philippines
claiming he was from a particular Reformed church in the US, and he had lost
his wallet and travel documents, etc. I actually called the minister of the
church he mentioned, and of course, the poor chap had never heard of the
scammer. Mine was not the first call he'd had, either.
Blessings,
Peter G

Subject: [Bulletins] Continued scam alert
Importance: High
Good afternoon everyone,
Since posting my warning this morning I have received emails that churches
have and continue to get calls from this scammer.
One church has lost $2,500 already.
Please do not respond to these requests.
The scammer changes the story each time as to where he is travelling to,
usually to your locality.
Remain alert.
Blessings
Geoff van Schie
