To all CRCA ministers/churches, 
 
Hi brothers, 
 
As you can see, bulletin notices have gone out to all churches concerning
Syria. 
This request for prayer and gifts is a WD&R suggestion. 
 
We are keen to encourage churches to participate as they see fit. 
However, we do not know what local churches have decided.
So, it is up to the local church to run the notices and to decide whether or
not to give members the opportunity to give.
 
Finally, WD&R is requesting that churches do not replace any of the WD&R
prescribed offerings in order to participate in this appeal.
We are hard-pressed to maintain the funding of the projects we are
supporting right now. So this appeal for diaconal help through MERF would
need to be an extra opportunity for your members who wish to support this
financially.
