Greetings from Wales
I am typing this progress report during the Monday morning session of the
International Conference of Reformed Churches meeting in Cardiff, Wales.
As per synodical decision of 2012, the CRCA ecumenical committee has lodged
last year the application for membership to the ICRC, having withdrawn from
the World Communion of Reformed Churches.
Last year we sent many documents required for such an application. Last
Friday, at this conference I was interviewed by the committee appointed to
make recommendations as to our application. This morning, I was given the
floor to introduce the CRCA to the assembly.
Over coffee after my introduction, many delegates came up to thank me and so
far feedback has been very positive.
We should know if we have a new international spiritual home by Wednesday.
Please keep this gathering of the ICRC in your prayers and also this
application for membership.
Blessings in Christ
Geoff van Schie
(Ecumenical Secretary of the CRCA)
