A Church Reforming to Reach the Lost for Christ

Christian Reformed Churches of Australia

bible training am1. Praise God for 50 baptised believers from different mission fields last month. Kindly pray that these believers may grow in the Word of God and become clear witnesses for Jesus in their village.

2. We had a blessed time at the annual seminar in early October. Rev. Bert Kuipers and Dr Philip Scheepers gave encouraging and valuable teaching. These are great times of fellowship for the 75 evangelists also.

3. World Transform has commenced another two Community Health Programs (CHP) in two more districts in October. These programs have good community support and are great way to enhance the preaching of the Word. We consider these to be wonderfully complementary ways to reach out to marginalized tribal people.

4. We thank God for the on-going training program of 24 of our GOSPEL workers. These 24 men are being equipped to preach the “whole counsel of God”.

Prayer Items for November:

1. Praise God for the good agricultural harvest this year. Most tribals don’t own land but use government land because they are so poor. A good harvest provides food security and income for this year.

2. Praise God for 48 new believers at Sirpur field in Maharashtra last month. These young believers need to grow in the knowledge of God and learn to trust in his Word. May the Holy Spirit guide our missionaries as they equip these believers.

3. Evangelist JG, praises God for 6 new families who came to faith in village of Jamda. Evangelist SR praises God for 35 new believers who received baptism (despite the anti-conversion bill.) Please do pray for the Lord’s protection for the whole field in hostile times.

4. Covid19 has forced believers to stay away from Christian fellowship on Sundays. The believers have been longing for worship and hearing the Word of God. Due to a lack of technology our workers find it difficult to reach their congregations. Most evangelists spend each day to visit as many believers in their houses as they can. Now, Sunday worship is permitted again. The pandemic is still raging in India. Please pray for the believers during the pandemic.

1. Some 48 new believers from the Central Gujarat, Alirajpur, Banswara, Barwani and Udaipur mission fields. May the living God continue to work in them to make them true disciples.

2. Pastor’s training continued in the southern regions, which is about half of the GOSPEL workers. They were blessed by the training given about the Trinity. Training was also given about sermon preparation.

3. During the first week of October, specific thanksgiving prayer and praise is given to our Lord for the blessings of harvest. As our mission field comprises mostly subsistence farmers and day labourers, this prayer focus is always on our hearts.

4. More pastor’s training is scheduled for the northern half of the field from 23 to 25 November. Well trained leaders are so important to training and teaching the young churches. Please pray with us. As well separate training is planned for elders from many new churches.

5. In last month’s prayer letter, we asked you to pray for Rasiya who “... has been suffering from sickness for the past week. He was admitted in the hospital for treatment and his platelet count is very low.” God heard our prayers and Rasiya is fully recovered. Thanks for your prayer.

1. NEW BELIEVERS

a. IN MP. Three new prayer groups started at Ambua, Kalipada and Kakadi villages (Madhya Pradesh). In each group, there are 15 to 25 new believers gathered for prayer. Jamsingh, praises God for seven new families at Jamda village, MP. Pray that they all grow strong in faith in Jesus.
b. IN GUJARAT. 103 people from Narmada, Nashik, Dahod and Shirpur have committed themselves to walk with Christ each day. This will come at significant “cost” as they may face persecution and rejection.

2. PROTECTION.
Thank God for healing as one of the GOSPEL leaders contracted Dengue Fever last month. He was admitted to hospital for treatment. By the grace of God, he heard our prayers and Sunil’s health is improving.

3. TRAINING.
The Presbyterian Theological Seminary continues to be involved with the training of the evangelists. For the next two weeks 29 GOSPEL workers from the field will be devoted to study. Other seminars were held in October for workers and assistants. and Training for 130 GOSPEL workers. Pray that this training will help to build and strengthen GOSPEL missionaries and their church planting ministry.

1. By the grace of God, there were 222 new believers baptised from different fields in the month of September. Please join with us in praising our Lord.

2. Praise God for the start of another new Community Health Program (CHP) in Maharashtra. Pray that our Lord will use this provision of primary health care to open new doors for the Gospel message to be proclaimed to those who are suffering.

3. The Annual seminar held in Gujarat (2 – 4 Oct.) was led by Bert Kuipers and Phillip Scheepers. Over 100 workers attended. The first graduation of 23 evangelists also took place. Through the training given we pray that all of our evangelists will “… rightly handle the Word of truth.”

4. Praise God for two new mission clusters. 10 new workers have been appointed. Please pray God will bless this ministry in remote places. Pray that God will also provide the financial supporters to partner with the “new” team.
