A Church Reforming to Reach the Lost for Christ

Christian Reformed Churches of Australia

1. 45 people in two clusters of Madhya Pradesh became new believers and have started attending worship and prayer groups in March. 35 new believers have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour in Gujarat. Praise God for his grace to these very poor people who have come out of darkness.

2. We give thanks to our Lord for many youths in the mission field who have committed themselves for the ministry to serve Jesus. Pray that God will help them and guide them to take leadership in the congregation. Pray that God bless the desires of these young men to be effective proclaimers of Jesus Christ to their communities.

3. GOSPEL evangelists travel to interior places in the mission field by motorcycles in bad and slippery conditions. Please pray that our Lord would protect them from all danger.

4. Special meetings and services are conducted in all the GOSPEL mission field in India during Easter. Please pray that these meetings will be a means God uses to bring many to faith in Christ.

5. 35 new believers have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and they are attending the Sunday worship service in different GOSPEL mission field of Southern Gujarat state. Please pray that these new believers will grow in their new found faith and gain more Bible knowledge to grow in the Lord and to become disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ.

1. A special meeting for prayer in the Dahod cluster was held on 18th March 2022. About 160 believers from the mission fields set aside time to call on God’s name.

2. Sunday School teacher training was given in March in 6 clusters. This may not be considered such a significant prayer point, but when parents come to faith, they have little knowledge of how to nurture their covenant children. Sunday school is a great blessing to assist parents in teaching of their children. Over 100 participated in these seminars.

3. Bapulal praises God for 12 new believers from his outreach village. He has requested us to uphold these believers in your prayer to grow in Christ and experience the joy of transformed life in our Lord Jesus Christ.

4. All the outreach churches will be holding Good Friday and Easter services. Please pray for a meaningful and gospel sharing to be conducted in all our GOSPEL mission fields with God at the centre of all activities as we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

5. Please pray for the upcoming women’s meetings planned in April. About 150 to 200 women from different fellowships are expected to participate in these times of teaching and fellowship for women whom are often downtrodden and abused. They will be taught that because of Christ’s redemption they are loved and valued children of God.

6. On as sadder note, one of our key leaders: Mr. Paul Arasu, aged 64 years, died on 8th March 2022. He was called “home” while doing what he loved: visiting in the mission field and encouraging the missionary workers. Please pray that God will comfort and strengthen his bereaved family members and also pray for the GOSPEL team. He is being sorely missed.

1. GOSPEL workers from the South Gujarat mission field praise our Lord for six new families. In spite of the pandemic, we thank God for His eternal plan to bring His chosen people into His fold. Please pray for these new believers to be nurtured in Christ.

2. The Covid-19 virus has now reached the rural villages where GOSPEL workers are actively involved in church planting. Please pray that our Lord will protect GOSPEL workers, believers and other community people during the pandemic.

3. The monsoon has been delayed and believers are waiting for the rain to plant paddy crops. If the rain is delayed, believers will face food crises along with the pandemic. Please pray for a good monsoon.

5. We praise God for 15 new believers from the Barwani cluster who are ready for baptism. These people accepted Christ during the lockdown, and since religious activities are banned, they are waiting to take baptism. These new believers need your prayers.

6. Due to the lockdown, believers in the GOSPEL mission field cannot attend Christian fellowship on Sundays. They are longing for teaching from the Word of God. GOSPEL workers visit believers in their homes for prayer and encouragement in God’s word and are also involved in one to one evangelism and other safe forms of outreach.

1. The monsoon rains bring relief from the scorching heat of the summer. However, they also bring diseases like Dengue, Malaria and infectious bacteria and viruses. Many report sicknesses in our mission field. Pray that the affected believers and workers may get better.

2. 22 new believers have received the sign of baptism. They need your prayers for their growth and to be rooted strongly in the word God and central truth of gospel.

3. We thank our Lord for the new CHP (Community Health Program) centre at Barwani cluster in our mission field in Madhya Pradesh. This centre will help us to establish and maintain good relationship with people around us, especially non-Christians who may have some aversion to the gospel work done by us. Please pray that the village leaders and people will extend support for this centre and staff.

4. God has opened doors of new ministry field among Bhils tribal people around Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh & Chotta Udaipur in Gujarat. We have been doing a survey and identifying new workers in these regions. We have been meetings and interviewing many candidates for the new mission field. Please pray that our Lord will help us to identify and recruit the suitable and God’s chosen people to work in this new mission field.

We give thanks that field activities have again resumed. In the clusters of South Gujarat and Narmada opposition to believers has resulted in some worship centres being demolished last month. Please pray for God’s protection.
